You will need to provide the following threads or their equivalents:- 30 thickness cotton or skein of stranded embroidery thread to match the tassel. DMC Clair, Ören Bayan or a skein of 6-stranded metallic thread from the DMC Light Effects range in gold. For the second 'worker' you can use a similar thickness of metallic thread in a contrasting colour or 2 strands of the embroidery thread.

N.B. Please note that if you look closely at the metal centre of this design you will see that some of the small piercings are incomplete. This still allows the lace edging to be joined to the centre in the normal way & we feel that this does not detract from the overall effect. We hope you will agree. We have therefore included a small round cup-shaped filigree with a coloured 'jewel' in the middle which you can add to the centre. (See Jewelled Filigree Centres for a picture.)

This 8 pointed star is made up of a series of off-set triangles worked entirely in cloth stitch. A band of Bedfordshire style 'kisses' link the inner and outer triangles.
Contents: A detailed instruction sheet, white and blue card prickings, a perced metal centre, bangle, sequins and beads to make one decoration. You will need to provide DMC 80 Special Dentelle and a skein of 6-stranded gold metallic thread from the DMC 'Light Effects' range. Colours may vary.

This decoration is made up of two layers worked in contrasting colours. Each layer is a 10 pointed star consisting of a series of offset triangles which are worked entirely in cloth stitch. A band of Bedfordshire style 'kisses' link the inner and outer triangles. One layer is attached to the metal centre as it is worked, the other is worked on the same pricking but without a metal centre. The two layers are then fixed together using iron-on Bondaweb.

You will need to provide two different colours of DMC 80 Special Dentelle and a skein of 6-stranded silver metallic thread from the DMC 'Light Effects' range. Colours may vary.

A nice straightforward edging worked around a 6.5cm bangle. Two snowflake motifs are glued back to back on a slightly larger circle of acetate to fill the centre.

A striking piece made up entirely of cloth stitch and kisses! A series of cloth stitch triangles arranged in two rows make up the oval which is linked to a wide inner trail with yet more kisses. The triangles themselves require you to break out of the usual habit of working rows to and fro in alternate directions, which provides an interesting challenge to keep you on your toes!

This easy to make project is worked inside a metal bangle. The design is based on a 6 six-pointed star outlined with a cloth stitch trail and filled with plaits radiating out from a small pierced metal centre. A row of beads adds a sparkle to the star points.

A simple combination of trails, plaits and picots make a fine but effective edging for a small bangle. The trail forms a series of small rounded scallops which alternate with larger pointed shapes with a slightly gothic flavour. A Christmas Motif Decoration with a ribbon bow adds the finishing touch.
